Intro:
This is an intergeneric Oncidium hybrid that is easy to grow and bloom.

Light:
This plant prefers low to medium light ranging from 1000 to 2500 foot candles. An east window is ideal when growing in a windowsill.

Temperature:
This plant prefers intermediate temperatures ranging from a daytime high of 70 to 80 degrees, and a night time low of 58 to 65 degrees.

Humidity:
50% or higher is ideal. Humidity is generally not important with pseudobulb Oncidium hybrids.

Water:
It is best to use rainwater, distilled or reverse osmosis water. Municipal water with a pH of 7.5 or lower can also be used. Water as the mix approaches dryness but do not allow the mix to become completely dry between watering. The pseudobulbs will start to "wrinkle" if the conditions are dry.

Fertilizer:
We highly recommend Green Jungle Orchid Food, especially formulated to work with rain, distilled, reverse osmosis water or water low in alkalinity. Fertilize with Green Jungle every time you water.

Or, use GrowMore 20-10-20 Ureafree for municipal or well water. Use at the rate of ½ teaspoon per gallon. If using GrowMore with rain, distilled, or reverse osmosis water, add back in 5 - 10% municipal or well water to supply the necessary calcium and magnesium. Fertilize every other watering in the summer and every third watering in the winter.

Flowering:
This plant can bloom up to twice a year. The flower spikes emerge from the base of the pseudobulb and produce 5 to 15 flowers per spike. The flowers are colored pure red with a yellow center. Flowers should last from 6 to 8 weeks.

Repotting:
Repot this plant every year using an orchid bark mix or coco peat mixed with 50% sponge rock. Plastic or clay pots work well.
