3D Printed Neofinetia Rakuhachi Pots
After months of research and development, we are proud to introduce our custom-designed, high-quality, and durable series of 3D printed Neofinetia pots inspired by various Japanese designs. Our 3D printed pots are made from 100% PLA, or a blend of copper or iron and PLA. PLA (Polylactic Acid) is derived from corn, using 65% less energy to produce than conventional plastics, generating 68% fewer greenhouse gases, and containing no toxins, making it an environmentally friendly product. Additional benefits include:
- Durability: Compared to clay pots, our pots are more durable. If dropped, they are less likely to break.
- UV Resistance: PLA has some UV resistance added, so our pots will not fade quickly in sunlight.
- Versatility: These pots can be used for growing, not just for display, unlike most Rakuhachi pots.
Our measuring system is based on the top opening diameter of the pot.
For example:
- K20 = 2" opening
- K25 = 2.5" opening
Nearly all our pots have a matching wall thickness proportional to the diameter of the pot:
- K20 = 2mm thick
- K30 = 3mm thick
This thickness ensures sturdiness, and we have not seen other 3D pots offered with this level of integrity.
The most common sizes of plastic grow pots produced in Japan are K30 and K35. We offer a wider range of sizes so you can achieve a perfect fit and finish for any size moss mound for your Neofinetia.
We have stock available in most sizes listed. However, please allow a maximum of 3 days for shipping, as we may need to print pots to fulfill orders.
Our prices reflect the total cost of our printers, materials, printing time, and the design and research invested in this project. These are truly pieces of art, and the Japanese hand-carved equivalents would cost 8 to 10 times more.
