Happy Holidays from OrchidWeb/Orchids Limited!
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the current time and FedEx deadlines, orders will NOT arrive until AFTER Christmas Day, December 25th. Our next shipping date will be Wednesday, December 26th.
We have many gift orchids and other options available for the holiday season so we put together this Holiday Orchid Gift Guide for 2018. We hope this can alleviate some stress that comes along with deciding what gifts to send your loved ones!
Shipping deadlines for pre-Christmas arrival are also listed below. We hold shipments of live plants if weather is too cold until temperatures permit. Gifts are only available to ship within the U.S. due to permits required for international shipping.
Our Orchid Gifts section is full of stunning orchid plants that are in-bud or have just begun flowering. These plants vary in color and most come with the choice of a decorative pot. We also like to add a little decorative moss over the medium if you choose the decorative pot option. We include instructional caresheets for orders marked as gifts to help your recipient with any growing questions!
Our recommendation: *Orchid Gift Bundle* - Phalaenoposis - Our Choice
Remember, any In-Spike orchid can be a great gift, but we do recommend our gift section if you want the recipient to receive something in-bud or close to flowering. Take note that some orchids listed in-spike that are not listed in the gift section may be in a lower spiking stage and take weeks to flower, although some orchid hobbyists don't mind this (or even prefer it), most of the time a close-to-flowering plant is better for gifts.
Let your recipient browse through our many orchids and orchid supplies to order whatever they desire by sending them an online gift certificate! When you purchase a gift certificate, the recipient is sent an e-mail with an online code once the order is authorized.
Books & Supplies:
We have several supplies such as pots, fertilizer, and other growing accessories that would make great gifts. Books are also a great choice! Our selection of fantastic orchid books are full of detailed information and stunning photos for those interested in learning about the taxonomy of plants or certain orchid species. Please note that some of our book selection is drop-shipped (they will be notated on product page description) and can take 1-2 weeks to ship from overseas, so we cannot guarantee pre-Christmas arrival on those items.
Our recommendation: The Genus Phragmipedium By Guido J. Braem (Limited First Edition)
Custom Gift Orders (High volume or custom arrangements)
We know that putting together gifts for multiple recipients can be a lot of work, especially when you're trying to do it online and have to checkout multiple times. If you prefer, we are happy to help take the hassle out of the ordering process by working with you individually to fulfill your gift order needs. Just send us the list of multiple addresses and we can compile them into one invoice/payment.
Our manager Jason can also help you decide what to send based on plant preference and price points. In addition, we can put together arrangements (single or multiple plants in one container) that may not be offered on our website. This process can be offered both when shipping to recipients across the US, or sending out locally here in the Twin Cities metro area.
Twin Cities Delivery & In Store Pick-Up (Local)
Do you live in the Twin Cities area? If so, remember that we have a Twin Cities Delivery service available and we also offer In Store Pick-Up. Deliveries usually go out the following business day, although sometimes morning orders go out same day. In-Store Pick-up orders can be picked up during any retail business hours and we will contact you when the order is ready.
