This class focuses on the world’s most common and widely grown houseplant—the Phalaenopsis. Recognized everywhere and often found in homes and shops, many people have owned one (or several) at some point. Along the way, you’ve likely encountered a wide range of growing advice—even unusual methods like watering with ice cubes!

In this class, all aspects of successfully growing Phalaenopsis will be covered, including practical culture tips to keep these orchids thriving, different potting techniques, and when/where to cut the flower stem. From species to hybrids, participants will discover the incredible variety within this group and learn why there truly is a Phalaenopsis for everyone. Feel free to bring your own plants with questions—chances are, others will benefit from the answers too!
