Description
**Note: We changed the format of registration to be more similar to our Kokedama class. Registration includes one plant plus the materials to mount it, with upgrade options available at the store prior to the workshop.
You may come 30 to 60 minutes early to choose an upgrade option.
Many orchids you grow in pots, are actually epiphytes. This means they grow on the trees in the wild. For this class, we will simulate nature by mounting orchids onto cork slabs! I will explain the process, different mounting techniques, and how to successfully grow your orchids on a slab.
I will be demonstrating how to mount various types of orchids on slabs so you can better understand the process based on different plant growth habits. While being a workshop, it will also be an informative class on the mounting culture itself.
Registration is $60 and includes either a Oncidium Gold Dust or a Bc. Little Birds as pictured. We will have a few other options the day of class as well.
For upgrades, we recommend Soph. cernua or Brassavola nodosa due to their ease of growth. We may have some other varieties the day of class. Come early for upgrades please!
