Every July at Cal-Orchid (owners James and Lauris Rose) in Santa Barbara, we have a Fuukiran (Neofinetia) Society of America event with lectures and judging. This year, you can all attend virtually as I will haul my gear to California with me and broadcast and record the entire event! Rest assured, I will be recording the event in HD and will send all participants the recorded copy within 2 weeks of the event (I will need some time after I return from CA to do the editing etc.). The event is outside and the broadcast quality will not be as high as the recorded copy I send later, but you will have the opportunity to watch the event live.
For this event, we will have presentations and judging of Neofinetia. The lectures and judges will be Peter T. Lin (CA), Carol Beule (CA) and Jason Fischer (MN).

10:30 AM - Peter Lin - Growing Neofinetia in Southern California
Peter Lin is a well-known miniature orchid enthusiast and AOS accredited judge from Southern California who also operates Diamond Orchids. He also enjoys Neofinetia and will speak on his growing techniques in Southern California.
11:00 AM - Carol Beule - A Passion for Pottery
Carol Buele is a retired costume Designer for Theatre, Commercials, Film and Television who has intricate skills in pottery and has taken to creating her own line of Neofinetia pots which she designs and accommodates to custom orders as well. She will talk about her passion for the art of Neofinetia pottery.
11:30 AM - Jason Fischer - Neofinetia flowers
Yours truly will talk about specifically the flowers of Neofinetia, and why they are so special to a plant that is often collected primarily for their foliage!
12 PM - Lunch Break - Please note, at this time I will group e-mail all a new link for the next broadcasting which will have the judging results.
1:20 PM - Fuukiran Judging - Results and commentary by judges.
