In this class, I will teach you about one of the popular Southeast Asian lady slippers, the Maudiae and its hybrids. This is a classic style of Paphiopedilum breeding that dates back to the early 1900s. I will go over flower types, breeding trends and the growing techniques of this simple and elegant orchid with a deep history!
Subjects I will cover:
History - We will look back to the beginning of breeding Paphiopedilum Maudiae hybrids in the early 1900s.
Flower types - There are different categories of flower types to recognize, some of which have been recently created!
Growing culture - Multiple growing and display techniques, choose the one that suits your needs.
