Native to Comoros and central and eastern Madagascar. This is a shade-loving, warm to hot growing species that likes constant moisture. The flower spikes are very thin and long. Flower buds emerge at the bottom of the spike (which blooms pendulously), and will continue to produce new buds each bloom season on the same spike. Do not cut the flower spikes unless they have dried up and turned brown. We like growing these in New Zealand sphagnum moss or New Zealand tree fern fiber. Treat as you would a Phalaenopsis for care.
