Description
A rare opportunity to purchase an individual listing for a large specimen-sized plant that has been in our collection for 12+ years. It is currently growing in a 6-inch basket filled with bark, lined with sheet moss.
This rare, magnificent epiphytic species from Madagascar blooms with very large, unique flowers in October, typically right at Halloween for us! Like most Angraecoids, the flowers are fragrant in the evenings only. This species takes us about 8 to 10 years to flower from a seedling size, and over the years, we have discovered they do best in orchid baskets, lined with sheet moss or green moss, and filled in with bark or charcoal. They grow a very large and long root system, and do best in warm conditions in medium light. These plants love moisture, and we do not recommend letting them sit dry for any period of time.
