We are offering established, awarded divisions from a specimen originally awarded in 2003 in South Africa. This species, native to Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, and southern China, produces a delightful umbel of pink flowers that have little antennae on the top of the dorsal which makes them look like aliens! This species is found up to 1700 feet elevation, therefore it is more cool-tolerant than standard Bulbophyllum. Since it is a Bulbophyllum, the flowers produce a bad odor. However, it is not strong enough to stink up a room, and you have to get close to them to smell it!
Plants listed as 'in spike' may also have some additional open flowers as of 5/22. It is possible that open flowers can be damaged in shipping, but all of these listed plants should still have buds if ordered for shipping the week of 5/25!
