This is a select clone of a fantastic plant that has been awarded 4 times. The first being in 1949 and the latest being in 2008 and given an 82 point Award of Merit by the American Orchid Society. The background species that make up this hybrid are 50% trianaei, 12.5% mendelii, 12.5% mossiae, 12.5% warneri, 6.3% dowiana and 6.3% warscewiczii. With these parents this hybrid is really durable in a wide range of temperatures. The large well rounded flowers are very long lasting and fragrant. A superb plant for breeding due to its tetraploid genetics.
