This is one of our own hybrids, named after our employee Scott Dailey, who has worked many years at Orchids Limited. This is a miniature Cattleya hybrid and is a cross between Sl. Mariottiana flavum (Sophr. coccinea flavum x Laelia flavum (now known as Laelia crispata)) and Rlc. Luane Jaune. The plants will stay small and compact and can potentially bloom twice a year. The flowers range from bright yellow to orange, to artshades in color. When the plants are mature they can produce 3 to 5 flowers per inflorescence.
