Description
Known as the Lady of the Night Orchid for its enticing perfume all through the evening hours. The grandiflora version of nodosa has wider, more open leaves and generally is more floriferous than the typical nodosa. Hailing from Mexico and Central America, this hardy species tolerates cool to warm temperatures and favors a bright windowsill. Perfect for beginner orchid growers! This species can flower freely throughout the year when mature, and is considered one of the easiest orchids to grow in both pots and mounted onto slabs. High light will cause a purple leaf tint, which is normal. This plant is easy to grow mounted on trees in South Florida. This is a wonderful gift from the tropics that at night, transforms your house with an exotic scent.
- 2.25-inch pot seedlings are expected to flower for the first time in 2026. -Kokedama - In-spike, expected to bloom early to late December. Our Kokedama come with a plastic 6" saucer for placement purposes, but most will choose a decorative dessert plate/saucer of their own for display.
