A native plant to Brazil and Bolivia, these are very similar to Cattleya walkeriana in growth habit and flower shape/fragrance. However, the main difference is the nobilior are bifoliate, vs the unifoliate walkeriana (two or one leaves on top of the pseudobulb). The var. amaliae form is a light pink flower type. These are attractive plants with fat pseudobulbs and leaves. Compact growing.
