A lovely species from Brazil that enjoys air to the roots. Most collectors will grow these in wood baskets or on wood slabs due to their sprawling nature. We have also had luck growing them in sphagnum moss with unglazed clay pots or plastic pots with lots of drainage. These have flowers that range from 4-5 inches on larger plants that are very fragrant and have a lacquered appearance.
These like good humidity and warmth to do best. In winter when its cooler dry the potting mix out before watering. Feed less in the winter.
Slow and steady growing plants. We expect the 2.25" seedlings to flower in 2028 to 2029.
