This is the rare color form of a species native to various regions in Mexico, Central America, and South America. Widespread species like this one are typically easy to grow. This orchid prefers partial sun and warm to hot conditions, and it should be watered frequently enough to keep the pseudobulbs plump. While older bulbs may slowly shrivel with age, the newest ones should remain round and shiny.
This plant is also well-known for its sweet aroma of honey and vanilla!
It grows well in both moss and bark mixes; our current batch is planted in premium New Zealand sphagnum moss.
**Note that this species commonly gets some black spots on the foliage.
