This is a miniature Cattleya species from Brazil which is also referred to as Laelia dayana. Purple flowers with a striking fuchsia and white lip! Native to the Organ mountains in Brazil. Grow in medium light (can be grown with Phalaenopsis or Cattleyas) and fertilize every third time you water. These were repotted in Sept. 2020 and won't need repotting until March of 2022 unless they outgrow the pot. We feed every third time we water when growing in moss. You can also foliar feed these or other orchids using a solution that is 6 times stronger in a misting bottle once a week. Apply in the AM hours. This is a 1/2 coerulea cross, meaning it has recessive genetics and these offspring will only express the purple color.
