This is the more compact form of flava with deep bright yellow colored flowers that have shorter spikes. The flowers usually emerge in winter/spring. This is the southern form of flava native to Brazil. The flowers are in the 2" range for size and are borne on tall 12-18" spikes. Requires good light and likes growing in either New Zealand sphagnum moss or New Zealand tree fern in clay pots. These are really nice specimens in the rupicolous (rock growing) laelia crispata group. These are divisions from our breeding stock.
