A rare rupicolus Laelia species native to the coastal mountains of Brazil. This plant grows on granite in nature but the plants can always be found growing in leaf litter or in crevices that have a peat-like substance. Contrary to what one may think these plants like moisture at the roots. Water this plant when the potting mix just dries between watering. When in flower or developing flower spikes water as the potting media approaches dryness.
