Native to Brazil this species grows as an epiphyte on granite outcrops. This is the only 2 leafed Laelia found in Brazil. This species likes good light and cool to warm temps to do best. These flower in mid winter to early spring. The whole plant with leaves is around 6 inches tall. Water just as the potting mix dies out. Likes clay pots and New Zealand sphagnum moss or New Zealand tree fern. Water as the mix just dries out. The one inch flowers have a nice fragrance and last abot 3-5 weeks.
