Native to Brazil & Bolivia, this unique Laelia is the only two-leafed species in the region. Compact at about 6 inches tall, it grows as rupicolous orchid in the wild on rocks.
Care Tips:
- Water when the potting mix is nearly dry. - Prefers clay or plastic pots with New Zealand sphagnum moss or tree fern media. - Blooms mid-winter to early spring with fragrant, 1-inch flowers lasting 3–4 weeks.
Blooming Habit:
Flower spikes resemble new leaf growth. Buds emerge as new growths reach 1–2 inches, with flowers appearing on the newest growths, similar to walkeriana.
