Cymbidium kanran are native to North Vietnam and South China. They are cool growing Cymbidium yet are easier to flower than goeringii. They produce multiple flowers with slim, pointed petals and dorsals. They also have a nice fragrance somewhat similar to musk. These orchids tend to have larger leaves and bulbs than most of the other Jensoa subgenus Cymbidiums.

Typically these blossom in the winter, but yet, this one is in spike right now in the summer!
