Not In-Spike
Description
This species is native to Southeast Asia, ranging from the Philippines to Thailand and Vietnam. It prefers medium to bright light and produces pendulous canes during the summer growing season. Water and feed generously from March to mid-November. After mid-November, stop fertilizing and reduce watering—only water enough to prevent the canes from shriveling.
In winter, flower buds will form along the cane. If the leaves haven't already dropped, they will usually fall off during flowering. When flower spikes begin to emerge, increase moisture at the roots to prevent bud blast. The fragrant flowers, which smell like raspberries and cream, last about a month.
This batch is near blooming size and has just been potted into 4" pots with moss! We expect them to bloom by 2026.
