This amazing species from Southeast Asia can develop long pendulous growths that can get to 3 to 6 feet long over time. The growths get covered with 3-inch flowers, colored in crystalline white and deep purple at the petals and sepals, with yellow in the lip. There is also a nice, sweet fragrance. This plant is uncommon in today's collections. Grow in intermediate to warm conditions. Decrease water in the winter to encourage flowers in the spring. What's even better is that these tend to be quite easy to grow. The large plant is an example of a full-grown specimen. They are just marvelous!
