Description
This Dendrbobium is from the section 'Densiflorum', which are known for clusters of pendulous flowers. A Southeast Asian species native to eastern Himalayas, Assam, Nepal, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos and Malaysia. These plants like warm to hot conditions but also need a dry winter rest in order to flower in the spring. Often when they receive too much water in late winter they will be reluctant to flower in the spring. Try to keep them on the dry side with decreased water between February and April to encourage May to June blossoms. These plants grow well in bark, coco husk and sphagnum moss. Heavy water throughout the summer during the growing season is important.
