A native of the Yunnan province of southern China. This species is known to grow large and produce several flowers throughout the canes, putting on a huge show in the spring. They have fragrant flowers, and are very hardy as they can handle cool to hot temperatures, and in situ are found growing from 200 to 1600 meters elevation.
