Description
This species is named Jenkins's Dendrobium, after an officer of the East India Trading Co. in the early 1800s. It is a charming and easy to grow slab or pot plant, native to the Hainan province of China, Assam, eastern Himalayas, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, and Laos. It can grow in cool to warm conditions, and prefers a seasonal change to flower in the spring. During the winter months, cut back water to 1/2 and do not fertilize. Later in the spring, you will see buds develop.

Fun fact: the flowers of this plant have also been dried and used for tea in Asia.

Current plants on palstic slabs with moss. This is common practice for exporting from Asia, and can be transferred to a wood slab or into a pot at anytime if you like.
