Description
This is a widespread species native to Assam, India, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, and Hainan provinces of China, Hong Kong, Myanmar, Thailand, China, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam. It grows well in pots or mounted onto slabs, and needs a dry rest without fertilizer in the winter to ensure spring blooming. You can still water during the dry rest, but water less and lighter than normal.
This is a very easy-to-grow species, and its flowers have also been used to make tea.
These plants were imported and recently mounted (summer 2025) onto plastic slabs. You can keep them as-is, or choose to repot them at this stage.
