Description
This cross was created to see if peloric colors would express and be enhanced by parishii alba. So far all the ones we have seen have turned out to be the purple types, although we do see more veining in the petals and the flowers are nice, flat and have wide segments. These typically require a hard dry rest in winter and usually flower in spring, They like good light and want to be well watered and fed during the summer months. By October you can stop fertilizing and water can be cut by the end of November. Just water often enough to prevent the pseudobulbs from shriveling. The leaves fall off sometime before or during flowering. Once you see the flower buds protrude from the sides of the canes you can resume watering but don't begin fertilizing until you can see new roots at the base of the newest growths. The flowers have the wonderful scent of strawberries and cream.
