Native to Southeast Asia, Dendrobium secundum is also known as the "Toothbrush Orchid" for the fact that all of its flowers appear on the same side of the stem, much like the bristles of a toothbrush.
This semi-pendulous, cane-like species is found in dry lowland forests and savanna-like woodlands. During its active growth period, this species enjoys high temperatures, humidity and light levels. Water regularly, allowing the media to dry in between. Water less frequently in winter, as a dry rest paired with slightly cooler temperatures is necessary to stimulate flowering prior to the next summer's growth phase.
