Description
A fantastic species native to New South Wales and Victoria, Australia, this orchid is known for its impressive size and high flower count, supported by robust canes and a large, vigorous root system. In habitat, it grows as a lithophyte—nestled among rocks—and is highly temperature-tolerant, experiencing cool to hot conditions throughout the seasons.
During winter, provide a dry rest with minimal watering and no fertilizer to help initiate flower spikes. Highly sought after by collectors, this species is also surprisingly easy to maintain and can be grown into a stunning specimen plant over time.
These plants were originally imported from the late Kevin Hipkins of Down Under Orchids, Australia.
