Description
A great species from Australia. Stiff leaves and strong pseudobulbs produce cascades of 2-inch cream-white flowers when mature. Likes it dry in winter. Can tolerate the heat of summer and cooler temps in winter. Does well in intermediate temps.
The curvicaule form is more compact in size and only gets from a foot to 20 inches tall. They also have a deeper yellow in the flowers that are a bit more curvy in shape than the grandiflora type. In the center of the lip there are a few purple markings. THESE PLANTS ARE AT LEAST 25-30 YEARS PLUS IN AGE. The flowers last about 3-4 weeks and have an interesting floral scent. They do best growing in pots of charcoal or crushed granite. When in growth and when in spike development or flower, keep more moist at the roots. The plants listed are either developing spikes or are in flower or both. WE WILL DO THE BEST WE CAN PACKING THESE WHEN IN FLOWER OR SPIKE BUT WE WILL NOT GURANTEE THAT FLOWER SPIKES WON'T BREAK OR THAT FLOWERS WONT BE LOST IN SHIPPING. These plants are heavy with hefty pseudobulbs. These are individually Listed and the Photos are of the actual plants you will receive.
