A species described as coming from Viet Nam. This species has never been formally found in the wild so it is most likely a hybrid. Similar to cruentum but with larger flowers. This is one of the nigro-hirsute (black haired canes) Dendrobiums and is tolerant of a wide range of temperatures. In Summer it can be fertilized once per 3-4 weeks if planted in moss. If in bark feed every 2nd time you water. Keep somehat drier at the roots in winter and provide more even moisture during the spring and summer months.The flowers are waxy and long lasting.
