A wonderful small species from Thailand and Laos. This Dendrobium produces several flower spikes per pseudobulb, producing 1 to 3 flowers per spike. They produce a wonderful fragrance of tangerines and sharpened color crayons. The plants we offer have larger, darker flowers than the average variety. This particular species cross has a nice compact growth habit and larger darker flowers.
Please note: This is a deciduous Dendrobium and if ordered in winter or early spring the canes will have a few to no leaves on them. This is normal and the flower buds emerge from the sides of the canes.
From October onward water with clear water and allow the potting material to become just dry between watering. When the flower buds appear, water as the mix approaches dryness. Once new growth starts to emerge and you can see leaves, water and fertilize throughout the summer and early fall. If in bark, fertilize every time you water and flush with clear water once per month. If in moss feed every third time you water. The plants offered are as in the 4th and 5th photos.
