Description
Established divisions from our mother plant. They are known for their 'elephant ear' or 'turtle shell' like foliage. New foliage shimmers like copper and turns into a dark green once mature.
Weekly observation is important, as this plant attracts mealybugs which at first hide under the foliage.
They do flower a fairly insignificant, short-lived green and white blossom, and we consider this a foliage plant.
We have had good luck growing this species in both HPCC Pro Mix and coco coir with 25 to 50 percent small perlite mixed in.
