Description
We had to cut most of our big Ficus down as it was hitting the roof of the greenhouse!
We have many, many cuttings. Since we are practicing social distance, this round we will choose the plant for you. You just choose the option based on the photos. They are all fantastic with lots of foliage.
This is a local pickup or delivery option only, as we will not ship this variety.
The good news is, these are extremely easy to root and grow, and make great houseplants! They can be potted into a pro mix or sphagnum moss and kept wet until they root. Or, perhaps the easiest way is to put them in a 5-gallon bucket (or larger depending on what size you want) and fill it with water. Within 2 to 4 months, typically you will have a very extensive root system ready to go into a pot. Either way, it is not a hard job. The biggest challenge is figuring a way out to keep the big plants upright while they root.
This is the standard green leaf Ficus elastica. We recommend a South or East window, or an area with good grow lights to keep them moving throughout the winter.
The two sizes available are generally 4 feet or taller.
The 'cross section' cuts are cuttings where the top and base have been cut. They still grow and will branch off a new growth from the side of the branch. Some are already showing the new branches. Photo included to show.
