Native to the Caribbean. These Tolumnia variegata have been wrapped in coco-fiber and placed into 4 or 6-inch plastic baskets, then slid into solid plastic pots for good airflow and water retention. This is an excellent way to grow them for the hobbyist who does not have time to water daily or have a terrarium to place them in. While they will still dry out quickly, they can survive for 2 or 3 days without water if necessary. The more roots they develop, the more hardy they will become!
6+ growths in the 4" baskets and 10+ growths in the 6" baskets. These are better priced than our bare-root plants as they also contain older back growths, which still contribute to the plant but can sometimes have pale-colored foliage. They are all still healthy!
Compact, fragrant flowers typically bloom between March and April.
**Current plants have open flowers, some with buds. Fresh flowers as of 4/13/25.
