The rare and prized flava variety of this fascinating species! This orchid grows with stiff, erect leaves and prefers to grow in bright light. This species sends out 3 foot tall spikes that bloom with large, 3-4" wide flowers with bright yellow to light green color. This plant is relatively easy to grow and tolerates low humidity in winter. When grown to specimen size, this orchid can have 30 to 75 flowers per spike! Normally the typical form has leaves that exhibit some purple pigment in them as well as mahogany markings in the petals and sepals. This form is rare and has no color other than light green in the leaves and pure yellow flowers with a darker yellowish areas on the sepals and petals. Limited availability.
