Description
A beautiful fragrant green-flowered hybrid between 2 great plants that have wonderful fragrances. The Clowesia parent smells to some people like fresh Grapefruit while the Catasetum expansum has a lovely, sweet scent. These like to approach dryness at the roots between watering but these will lose their leaves after or during flowering. Once the leaves have dropped, you can keep the potting mix completely dry, watering only when the pseudobulbs start to shrivel. No fertilizer should be applied at this time. Once new growth starts and you can see roots emerging, increase watering and fertilize.
*Please note, if you order during the dormant stage (typically October-February) you will receive a plant with only bulbs. There is an example in the photos. During dormancy, do not use fertilizer, and water sparsely. Increase water and apply fertilizer once the new growth reaches about 6" in height and starts to develop roots.
