A wonderful fragrant orchid with an FCC (First Class Certificate) award from the AOS. This is the good stuff!

Choose from either the standard leaf or variegated leaf form.

Waxy, red flowers that have a strong and spicy sweet fragrance like cherries. Grow in medium to bright light keeping the potting mix moist during spring and summer months. After flowering (sometimes while flowering) the plant will go semi-dormant and drop the foliage of the mature cane. One the leaves shed, stop all fertilizer and reduce water to 1/2 until new growth emerges. Resume regular watering schedule with fertilizer one the new growth emerges a few inches.

These plants have a dormant season in the winter. They are dormant for a short period of time, after when a new growth will emerge from the base of the cane. Often when we ship them at this stage, the small new growth has already begun to emerge.
