Description
The most anticipated Cymbidium hybrid in our inventory has flowered! This hybrid has nice plum red to burgundy flowers that are 2 to 3 inches in size. The flowers are fragrant and the spikes come out and gently arch. You can either grow these in a pendulous fashion or stake them straight up as the buds develop. This hybrid is unique in its ability to grow in a wide range of temperatures thanks to its parentage! The hybrid parent of this cross, the large-growing Cym. Street Tango, has a complex lineage of 11 different species, with the most dominant influencing a preference for cool to intermediate temperatures. On the other hand, the species parent of this cross, Cym. canaliculatum, is a stiff-leaved orchid that prefers bright light and warm temperatures. The first three photos of flowering plants are plants from this cross that we have flowered here in our nursery. Some variations in color scheme may occur.
