Description
Originally described by William Roxburgh in 1820, this species is native to the Indian subcontinent and the isles of Southeast Asia, where it grows in lowland tropical and subtropical forests. Typically blooms in spring to summer, with up to fifty 1" wide flowers on a pendulous spike. The flowers are both waxy and fragrant, with a white and pink color. The leaves of this orchid are almost semi-succulent in their thickness and a delightful bright lime-green color, detailed with speckles of purple anthocyanin pigments.
