A beautiful species native to the Amazon’s and Rondonia regions of Brazil. The flowers are born in arching clusters of up to 40 or more flowers colored in ivory, yellow with dark chocolate to red markings. It was described in 2016. The fragrance is best described as spicy. These do have a dormancy period coinciding with winter and will lose their leaves just before, during or after flowering. Best grown in New Zealand sphagnum moss. Water as moss approaches dryness. After flowering and leaf loss keep dry watering the moss every couple of weeks with no fertilizer until you see new growths and roots emerge. Then fertilize every 3rd or 4th time you water.
