Description
Discovered by missionary and plant explorer Charles Parish. This species is native to Southeast Asia and grows as an epiphyte on tree branches. The plants are basically leafless for much of the year but can develop a couple of small leaves during the summer months. The 1/4-3/8" flowers emerge on spikes that arise from the base of the root system. There can be quite an abundance of beautiful yellow flowers that are long-lasting. The flowers typically emerge in spring but can appear at different times if the conditions are correct. Grow in medium light and mist every one to three days. Fertilize with mist once every other week. Reminiscent of the famous ghost orchid but very easy to grow. Our plants are sometimes grown on folded layers of shade cloth which works well at retaining some moisture or they may be grown on cork slabs.
