This beautiful, small Lycaste species is native to Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Honduras and El Salvador. It is a spring bloomer and has the fragrance of cinnamon with a hint of nutmeg. These lose their leaves in winter so keep the plants drier at the roots during winter watering maybe every 2-3 weeks with no fertilizer.
