This is the yellow flower form of Max. tenuifolia 'Yamada' AM/AOS, an awarded clone. The fragrance of coconut cream pie is a great bonus! Native to Central America, this species typically blooms with red flowers.
This orchid is highly rewarding when grown to specimen size. We recommend growing in New Zealand sphagnum moss and fertilizing every third watering.
In Latin, tenui = fine, folia = foliage, hence the species name, tenuifolia.
Easy to grow, and does best in bright light conditions.
