A native of the state of Tolima, Colombia. A deep yellow with red spots and a very sweet fragrance makes for a great Stanhopea! We grow our stanhopea in solid pots, not baskets, until they reach blooming size. We can grow them at double the speed this way. Once they have reached a size that will fit into a 6 to 8-inch basket, we transfer them. The flower spikes come out pendulously. Therefore, they flower better in a basket with lots of slats for the spikes to poke out of.

3" Pot size are Oryzalin treated, and are potential 4N plants, which could yield even larger flowers than standard ones!
