Description
A new cross we are offering as of March 2025. Two large-flowered tigrina were used for this cross, and we are offering seedlings that should reach blooming size by 2027 to 2028. This Mexican species is hardy and is cool to warm tolerant, surviving outdoor growth in areas like Southern CA and Southern FL.
We grow ours in solid pots until they reach blooming size (6" basket), as that grows them fastest for us. These plants like it shady and grow fastest during the warm season, at which time you can water and fertilize them generously. It is nearly impossible to over-water a well-rooted Stanhopea as long as you have good airflow and the temperatures are 70+ degrees!
