This Paph. hybrid is made up of species from Sumatra that are ever-blooming! The inch and a half flowers emerge one at a time and there can be from one to three open at the same time. The flower blooms for about one to two months and then falls off when another bud forms and opens. On and on it goes and each flower spike can bloom for up to two years. A new growth will form at the base of the plant and around 8 months to a year later it too will begin flowering. At this point with two flower spikes, we like to remove the oldest spike to allow more energy for the new spike and flowers to develop. This plant likes lower light and wants to be watered about every 4 days as the mix approaches dryness.
