Description
This hybrid is from our own Brachypetalum breeding. We have been crossing some of the larger complex brachy hybrids to Paph. concolor, to improve vigor and disease resistance (Paph. concolor is less prone to crown rot compared to the other brachy species). As an added bonus these plants will tend to have at least 2 flowers per inflorescence! The flower above is of the first seedling that bloomed, and it bloomed in only 1 year after coming out of the flask! The name "Clairette" refers to a grape variety that is used to make sparkling white whines. The flowers of Paph. Clairette are pure white, with small little maroon spots, that look like they come bubbling up the petals. A must have if you like Brachy crosses.
