Description
Long misspelled for decades as 'Lady Isabel', the actual hybrid name is Lady Isobel. This primary hybrid was registered by Statter in 1897 and was created using two of the best Paph. species from Borneo, including the king of the Paphs. rothschildianum and Paph. stonei.
A fantastic primary multi-floral Paph, known for its striking color contrast, especially on the dorsal petal. Large, mature plants save you time, as these hybrids can take 7 or more years from seed to flower!
Note, first-time bloom plants typically flower between 2 and 4 flowers.
Current plants are just starting to open as of early March, and should flower through April. It should also be noted that this hybrid tends to get brown markings on the surface of the older foliage. We suspect this is only shipping stress, and subsequent growths should be green.
